High-end ranges are designed with impressive features, like premium knobs, cast-iron grates and advanced technology, separating them from the crowd of lower-end ranges.

WHAT IS A HIGH-END KITCHEN RANGE?

It’s vital to understand what separates a high-end range from a lower-end model. A high-end range is similar in look and feel to the ranges found in a commercial kitchen yet is made for residential homes.

High-end ranges are sleekly designed and made from premium materials. Their powerful heating systems envelop heat around food on every rack and smart features, like auto-burner reignition and self-cleaning technology, make cooking and cleaning more efficient.

DIFFERENT CONFIGURATIONS OF STOVES & RANGES

You can choose from a variety of high-end ranges for your kitchen. Remember, each type must be installed differently.

1. FREESTANDING RANGE

Freestanding ranges are the most common type on the market. Luxury freestanding ranges are equipped with prominent legs and finished sides, so they can stand independently or fit between cabinets without performing custom cabinetry work.

2. DROP-IN RANGE

Drop-in ranges are meant to fit in with custom cabinetry, providing an integrated style without compromising performance, power or control. A drop-in range does not have legs or a base under the oven door. Rather, it is set in your kitchen. This range type is often the costliest and hardest to install.

3. SLIDE-IN RANGE

A slide-in range sits flush with countertops, achieving a seamless, built-in look that many want for their high-end kitchen. Certain ranges may not have finished sides. This is because they are meant to slide between cabinets either along a wall or as part of an island.

4. DOWNDRAFT RANGE

A downdraft range is a range with a built-in ventilation system that removes the need for any additional kitchen ventilation, like a hood. These ranges help reduce the odour and smoke caused by food cooking right at the source, protecting cabinetry and appliances from smoke damage, grease or steam.

Furthermore, a downdraft range is quiet while in operation, letting you enjoy a conversation while you cook or entertain your guests without any distracting background noise.
